DWC with Soil?

There are many ways to mix water culture with soil. Some aquaponic systems have a soil media directly above water with roots growing through the media directly into the water. This system can be actively or passively irrigated. Another type of aquaponic system separates the water and media, not allowing roots to enter the water directly. This system can only be actively irrigated. https://www.potentponics.com/
Side note. Dual root zone systems do not need to be organic. I would not recommend mixing mineralized nutrients with a living or organically amended soil though. In this system, fish will die with salt runoff. A living system should be fed by other living organisms (fish mainly). If you want to go with a coco or another soilless media, you can use hydro nutrients.
Thanks j..just seen how to see this …lmao
I grow in dual root zone Aquaponic. Its close to what you’re talkin bout. I started growing in dwc and eventually found Aquaponics.
Check out dual root zone planting method on pooptube or search Potent Ponics on pooptube
