Hey DGC. Quick one about flushing. Coco/perlite/worm castings 65/25/10% and synthetic nutrients. I flushed 2 ladies taken down on Saturday heavily with pH’d RO water for 3.5 weeks and could only get my ppm down to 160. I suspect some of that ppm is from the castings but I didn’t use a flushing agent.
Is a flushing agent recommended? Still working my way through a beginner understanding of positive and negatively charged cations.
Thanks in advance

You don’t need anything but plain water the last 10+ days. You can use some humic and/or fulvic acid to help release cations held by the media that water alone will not. One thing I’d suggest is to not use RO water or water with no calcium. Calcium is not able to be pulled from lower growth and shouldn’t be cut out completely.
Thank you jmystro. Flush ended up longer than expected due to trikes telling me to wait a week and then some. My water is from my own well with 800ppm of something that I haven’t had tested yet so I hauled many 5 gal bottles of RO.
What would you recommend to use for the fulvic and/or Humic acids?
And I had supplemented cal mag every watering until flush. Should I have continued?
Just preparing for my next 2 girls that are middle of week 4 of 11ish weeks.
Thanks again and I know I’ll have more questions as I digest your nutrition guide.

Mystro nailed it as always. Some nutrients are mobile and some are not. For example Nitrogen is mobile so if the plant needs more it can pull it from lower growth whereas calcium is im-mobile so once it finds a home it stays there so feeding it is the only way to introduce more for areas that look deficient.
Something like New Millenium’s Ruby Fulvic is a good choice to use.
I’ve been trying to source Ruby but can’t find any NM in Canada. I asked my hydro store about it but they said they can’t get it.
Really do appreciate the input. I’ve been working hard at piecing everything together but my hands keep getting tied up here with the limitations health Canada places on everything
Any other suggestions? Natural input that I can make?
I am growing autos in a coco/perlite mix with about a cup of EWC added middle of veg. Im using 3 gal radicle bags and when I flushed before I would use a flawless finish or sensizym from Advanced nutrients during the last week of bloom and as i start my flushing. Honestly if you aren’t using synthetic nutrients in your medium you should fine flushing with plain tap or RO. I use RO ph’d at 5.5 the last few days of flushing as well and I am able to get my run off down to 80ppm before cutting her down. Save your money and use the water youre using already to flush them.
I run 5 gallkn fab pots with coco perlite worm castings and syntheric nutes. I start flush when just unde rhalf the triches are milky and this usually gives me 10 days of flush. I start the flush with florakleen 10 ml per gallon for the first gallon. I use it because i have it left over i wont buy again. I then give them about 2 gallons per day of tap water not ph and ive had no issues doing that on a 10 day flush if you start earlier when you see only a few milky trches if you prefer a longer flush that would be fine as well.
