Hello DGC. Another question here. I just received some Grow Dots. Thank you for the awesome stickers btw. I was wondering, if I use fox farm happy from soil which has nutrients in the soil to last roughly a month already. Will this burn my plants? Should I use something inert? Lastly I water them about every 4 days, will that be often enough to brake down the grow dots properly? If not then I may need to change soil. Thank you DGC and Grow Big or Grow at home…just grow!

I would use something inert. I don’t have mine yet (Scotty) but that is what I plan to do.
See my post about Ethos Chem D. If you use something that already has food in it, go lightly. Autos can be finicky, and you can add nutes easier than removing them. I imagine that even some photo’s might have issues if they are light feeders. I have a few that I’m getting ready to run in 5 gal w/ a coco, perlite mix that I amended with a couple of cups of worm castings and 4 Tbsp of GrowDots. They are currently vegging in FFHF/Perlite mix in 1 gallon nursery pots and are ready for more real estate. Good Luck!
Peace!
Use an inert media
Yea Scotty always says something about topdressing but never quite specifies how much or when. Maybe that’s the route to go? Just remember your gonna have day 1 veg if you do topdress.
i want to run a few tests with them once i can get them up in the cold north, i want to use them in just fox farms soil and gaia green amended soil and just amended soil with clones and see how they do. then do one with different amounts of the grow dots of eat one
