I just watched your last grow show and you guys were talking about your scissors gumming up. I have a good trim hack, I have always used a paper towel with a dab of olive oil. I used to use iso but it dries out constantly and doesn’t keep the trichs off the scissors as long as olive oil. There won’t be anything but a fine film after wiping down and it helps keep the scissors cleaner longer. Being fat soluble the trichs get wiped right off by the olive oil. You wont get scissor hash anymore but I’m over that. I just try to get done asap.
Shit man I scrape them down and spray them with cooking spray. PAM works best. Let that sit a few minutes and woosh that shit comes right off. 👍🏼
I’m gonna have to try this one of these days. although to be honest I’m still a big fan of scissor hash. Whenever I sit down for a bit of trimming I try to grab at least half a dozen pairs of scissors/pruners so I can swap em out when they get too gummed up, then when they’re all dirty, I take a second to scrape the good stuff off each pair, then clean them all at once with iso wipes.
All that being said, I usually do end up getting to the point of just wanting to get the rest trimmed to get it over with, so this could come in handy.

I use olive oil to wash my fingers/hands when they get sticky from trimming. Works great and is safer than solvents and does not dry out my hands.

Listen you crazy bastards, you need to make sure you rub the fucking hell outta them blades. Oil is a great tool. Don’t get me wrong. However, unless your as anal as the girl from the asses gone wild… your getting that oil on your gloves and your weed. Don’t be afraid to use alcohol in the mix. Keep a jar of 91 or better and have two pairs of scissors for all workers. Until then I won’t smoke the weed. At least alcohol evaporates. Oil got some hang time.
