Hey DGC, I hope everyone’s doing well.
My question is what’s the best nutrient that you’ve run that’s shown you the best results for you money. I’ve grown for a while here in Michigan and everything here is so commercialized. When I started off the only product I knew of was Botanicare which was a nightmare for me 2 years of tweaking the dosages till I found the perfect mixture that worked for me, after I switch to advanced for a run and killed that off right away, then heavy 16 came out to the market and that was all rage and there went anything I every understood about ppm/ec just throw that out the door and forget about it. What I use now is the full heavy 16 line, a Silica, botonicare calmag, hydrozime, but in flower I use bam bam bud hardener, open sesame, beastie bloomz. cha ching, and Recharge on water days and I’m seeing great results but it cost a fortune. I just discovered jacks 321 and have started using and loving this product it seems to do everything I need while in veg. I know I’m rambling, but I really want to learn what’s the difference between and bottle nutrient and jacks or any other cheap nutrient line it feels like thousands of dollars wasted for what seems to be mostly water or are there if any extra benefits to you’re plants health and you’re final crop. I’m the first to want to learn anyone else’s recipe for successful crops and harvest. Thank you again everyone here in the DGC the knowledge and people here are priceless.
You pay for water, hype, marketing. Some companies spend money on scientific formulations, clean nutrients, better chelates, and biostimulants. Just find what works for you. Rasta Jeff likes veg bloom with different products to round it out. New mellenium spent lots of money on perfecting the micronutrients for each stage of growth.
This isn’t really going to answer your question, but when it comes to yeild, the brand of nutrients is a distant 4th behind lighting, environment, then genetics.
I like using a nutrient line that is easy. For me, that has been Bio Bizz. I simply neutralize the carbonate in my tap water then mix-and-pour. No meters, no BS.
If I was growing in coco, I would be rocking New Millennium because I know I can get a guy on the phone to help me understand their line clearly.
I wouldn’t worry about spending too much on nutrients until I’ve maxed out the potential of my lighting, environment, and genetics. If you’re already there, try to get hooked up with samples of various lines and focus on finding what works for you. There’s no magic juice, so find the one that you enjoy the most.
