Does anyone run RO water with Biobizz? I had to hook up a RO system cause my plant where locking out cause all the crap in my water. I’m running FFOF soil with sunshine # 4. Was wondering if I should be adding cal-mag back into my water and how much PPM do I add back?

You want to keep the total calcium levels around 150-200 ppm with magnesium levels around 50-60 ppm. These are total levels, so you need to account for what’s in your soil already. The easiest solution would be to add a little dolomite lime to your soil a few weeks before you put a plant in it and ditch the cal-mag. There is no substitute for mixing a proper soil.

FFOF has all the nutes you need for about 6 weeks, then add nutes as needed. I did the same thing with FFOF, though i needed to us all these nutes and for some reason cal mag gets pushed so hard. If in FFOF you don’t need it starting out and i only use in a small amount or if i see a needed too.

If you don’t want to add calcium or other nutrients/minerals later, top dress every 3-4 weeks after the first 30-45 days, depending on pot size. The larger the pot, the longer you can go before an initial top dress.
