Anyone that listens to the show knows that I’m all about bottom feeding! Sounds about right! But seriously I love using a good wicking system like the Octopot. Over the past 2 years I have been on a mission to dial the 6 gallon size Octopot into a tree growin, pounds producing, self watering dank machine. Here are a few videos that help explain how I modify and use the Octopots to produce up to 2 pounds per plant per light (strain dependent) and a few important fundamentals of this type of grow system.
Scotty,
These videos don’t really explain how your using smart pots on the octopot system. Could you make some video that explains how you adapt the two things together? What is the largest size smart pot that you can get to fit with the octopot?

RollsY2K,
I run 6 octopots. They have a special smartpot with an open bottom thats open, there are 2 straps the hold them in place on the hydrowick (netcup like part). The smartpots will hold around 5-6 gals of soil although I roll them down to about 3 gals. The octopot website has some nice diagrams to help better understand.
These are a game changer, awesome growth rates and yield.
Hope that helps,
Bobby from Mi.
2lbs per pot??? I’d buy it then. These are expensive as hell. But if I even for a second thought 2lbs per OD buy in a heartbeat.

Depending on veg time I could easily see it. I scrog mine with a 2×4 screen per plant, 2 plants per 1000w. A normal veg time for me is about 4 weeks to get a nice packed screen and I can pull 18 oz. per plant. This is with no supplemental Co2, just dialed in environment and Ionic nutes.
